Our Holidays

The Maldives, Kudafushi

On our most recent holiday we went to The Maldives, and stayed on Kudafushi Island which you could walk around in less than 20 minutes!

We stayed in a over water villa, which was the most amazing experience as it meant every day we could go down the steps and straight into the warm Indian Ocean where we went snorkelling and saw lots of exotic fish! We used THIS snorkel which we will be keeping for our next adventure!

We even saw some black-tipped sharks, turtles and a stonefish! We managed to get some videos of the underwater world by putting our phones in THIS waterproof case. Seeing the stonefish was a scary experience as it is the 6th most deadliest animal in the world.

Dubai

We went to Dubai for two weeks, for our first week we stayed in Rixos Bab Al Bahr hotel, where we spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool in the 40 degree heat! In this hotel we also met a black and white cat which we named ‘Lemon’. We were determined to bring her home as she was so cute and affectionate but sadly it just was not possible with the length of our stay and vet bills 🙁

During our second week we travelled to the main city and stayed in an AirBnB which was joined to the shopping centre! We explored the city and we also visited an indoor rain forest where we saw some sloths – our favourite animals! From our AirBnb pool we could see the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world) which has 163 floors! One of our city excursions was a trip to the top to see the amazing views!

We also had a night at Atlantis, The Palm – it was an amazing hotel with a huge waterpark attached! The Leap of Faith water chute was incredible!

Crete

This was our first holiday abroad together as a couple, we went to Crete for a week and had the best time ever! We bought matching suitcases found on THIS link which we have travelled with a few times since too!

We spent most our of time soaking up the sun by the pool enjoying our all inclusive cocktails and nutella crepes!

One day we took a bus into the local town where we bought some souvenirs such as matching bracelets and t-shirts and we also enjoyed the local cuisine! On the way back to our hotel we stroked every cat possible as there are many around the town!
